A Second Saturday Success 10/10/09

By laneshe - 10/14/2009

This month’s Second Saturday was definitely a success. With a plethora of good performances and a responsive audience, everyone had a good time. Check out this poem, written collectively by the audience. Each person wrote one line, and only had the line before theirs to inspire them.

The jazzy penguin decided to walk North

Until an overly enthusiastic yellow lab ate her

But she didn’t die, instead she transcended to the heavens

Where Peter said “Where is my ice cream, and fudge sundae?”

But then suddenly a strong wind came and blew it another direction

Up down, up down, right left, right left

Moves like a carnival ride, right and left

The snow is so fresh

Julian is the best-ish

Almost like a preoccupied kiss

And so I asked you too many questions

And never offered any answers

So we look to the lyrics of Dylan

And found them blowin’ in the wind

A strong wind, from the east, gentle with wisdom

For droppin lines on a stage at times, drop acid not bombs!

A gun can’t open your third eye

Unless that pie is apple
