For over 35 years the Painted Bride has enjoyed a well deserved reputation as one of the country’s premiere and intimate performing and visual arts centers. The Bride has taken on the challenge of bringing the finest in contemporary jazz, theater, dance, world music and visual art to its stage and gallery. The Bride’s success has been rooted in the ability to take risks and to create intimate, accessible experiences that transform, inspire, and exhilarate both artists and audiences alike. It has remained a successful part of the Philadelphia arts and culture scene by continually delivering great performances by innovative talents and reflecting on and truly learning from those performances.
