Calling all actors, directors, and playwrights

Are you an actor, director or playwright? The Bridal Salon, a weekly play reading series at the Painted Bride Art Center, was created to support the ever growing Philadelphia theater community. Actors, directors, playwrights and theater enthusiasts can all benefit. We provide the space, you provide the art. Each week we will showcase 2 one-act plays or 1 full-length piece. Audiences will have the chance to engage the directors, playwrights and actors in discussion on preparation and writing processes, inspiration, and character development.
At the end of the spring season, 1 of the plays presented during The Bridal Salon series will be chosen to be performed on the Painted Bride’s main stage!
FREE to participate and FREE to watch, join us for the Bridal Salon’s kick off on Wednesday, January 27th at 7pm in our studio. This series will be held weekly on Wednesdays at 7pm.
