Josh Roseman’s virtuosity as a solo trombonist has earned him recording and touring roles alongside musical legends such as Dave Holland, Dave Douglas, Steve Coleman, and Don Byron. As a large-ensemble leader, Roseman crafts an immersive experience with some of the edgiest voices from the new jazz scene in Brooklyn. Extended Constellations, his 12-piece ensemble, embraces avant-jazz and Jamaican dub-influences in equal measure. Having recently returned from international destinations including Italy and Switzerland, the band performs new works commissioned by SFJazz, the Downtown Geneva Orchestra, the “Dancehall Symphony” for La Scala in Milan, and now, NYC’s Jazz Gallery via the Jerome Foundation.
