Ned Rothenberg is an internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and composer.  He performs on saxophones, clarinets, flute and the shakuhachi.  A founding member of the ground-breaking group, New Winds, Rothenberg is known for his adventurous musical projects as demonstrated with his ensembles Double Band, Sync, Power Lines and his famous collaboration with Evan Parker. Rothenberg’s application of extended techniques has created his unique and personalized playing vocabulary.  His intensively personal take on radical Jewish culture interprets his latest project, Inner Diaspora which features violinist Mark Feldman, cellist Erik Friedlander, acoustic guitarist Jerome Harris and tabla player, Samir Chatterjee. Rothenberg has worked with notables such as John Zorn, Gerry Hemingway, Bobby Previte, Glen Velez, and Dave Douglas.
