Playing off the popular show American Bandstand, American Hamstand is an original drag musical performed by Philly’s The Haus of Ham. What happens when a drag queen variety show goes awry? Find out when Lili St. Queer, Eric Jaffe, and Mistor Fahrenheit take the Painted Bride Stage.
Established in 2014, The Haus of Ham are best known for their drag parody of the cult classic movie Mean Girls and their original single “Ret 2 Go.” Their mixture of drag, comedy, music, and gender-bending theatrics have landed on stages Alaska Thunderfuck, Willam Belli, and Sharon Needles. Now, the trio is ready to put on one of their hammiest performances yet.
“We usually perform in a cabaret format,” says Lili St. Queer. “But this show is a fully scripted theatrical production. It’s as campy and silly as you would expect a drag show, but there’s also original music and parodies. This is show is one of the biggest we’ve done.”
