The Oscuro Quintet is an international group of 5 accomplished musicians of diverse disciplines pursuing their collective passion for tango and contemporary music.
As Philadelphia’s first tango music ensemble, the quintet evokes the passion and the grace of tango from dance floors to concert halls with a mind toward both the music of the past and the vaguard of progression. Check out video of Oscuro Quintet in action HERE.
A unique duet repertory company considered, “greater than the sum of their parts” (OffOffOff.com), Da·Da·Dance Project draws from a wealth of experiences in theater, music, poetry, multi-media, visual/commercial art, various dance styles from traditional to cutting-edge to street dance to improvisation. They debut the Bride to perform AURORAS – an intense movement work exploring a world of “saturation” through the contrasts of colors, theatrical exaggeration, invented movement and gender specified costumes in a non-gender defined space. Inspired by and crafted around the dramatic illuminations of the northern horizon (Northern polar lights), AURORAS delivers beauty, absurdity and buoyancy through the interplay between these two unique, visceral artistic energies. Da·Da·Dance Project was founded by Eun Jung Choi and Guillermo Ortega Tanus. For more information visit: www.dadadanceproject.org
Dancer-choreographer Lindsay Browning, who appeared live from Hollywood on NBC’s America’s Got Talent last summer, takes the stage to show Bride audiences just what she’s got in performing a new original solo work titled Feast of Dreams. Seamlessly wedding movement, music and video, Browning delivers a powerful multi-media piece to tantalize the senses. An integral part of Philadelphia’s arts community since 2005, Browning contributes and collaborates with noted companies including Scrap, Group Motion, Idiosyncrazy, and Olive Prince.
