The Building Bridges Cohort artists have worked since February on dynamic projects. Pivoting their plans at the onset of COVID-19 precautions, they’ve built projects in the midst of unprecedented circumstances. Join the Bride for the Building Bridges showcase as the artists share the final versions of their phase one projects. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ACCESS THE EVENT.

Catch up on their journeys on our blog: https://paintedbride.org/our-blog/

Anthony Carlos Molden – Tree Oracle
Using reclaimed objects and measuring around 10 feet long, this piece hangs in a tree in the Germantown neighborhood, emitting light at night.

Caitlin Green Hey Homebody
A dance piece that explores the question, “How do you find home in your body?”

Ursula Rucker – Anti-Violence Viral Peace Anthem
A super powerful songpoem anthem that speaks and shares boldly and loudly a multigenerational PHILLY CENTRIC voice FOR PEACE and AGAINST VIOLENCE.

James Sprang – Aquifer of Spirit
With the use of ruminative soundscape, voice and personal writings, Sprang attempts to unpack the ways we are aquifers for our surroundings.

Annielille Gavino – Working towards progress
A dance piece that seeks to dismantle binaries, labels, stereotypes, and boxes.
