Danny Simmons: '92 to Now

92 to Now is a unique, two story exhibit by artist Danny Simmons that spans his visual arts career. The first floor features a walk-through timeline of Simmons’ painting career, presenting larger works from 1992 to 2018. Visitors will witness his artists and stylistic progression in this retrospective.

The second floor features a survey of his newest works from 2015 to 2018. These multi-media collages represent a new direction for Simmons’.

Simmons is honored that his work will be the last formal exhibit at the Painted Bride’s Old City building. As a fan and friend of the Painted Bride for years, this showing marks a milestone and highlight of his artistic career.

Danny Simmons, Jr., is an American abstract painter from Queens, NY, who once coined his particular style of painting as “neo- African Abstract Expressionism.” His talent and passion for the arts reaches beyond the canvas; He is a published author, poet, painter and art philanthropist. He has become a leader in the art world with his philanthropic ventures, artistic talents and creative mind and drive.
