Get into our shorts! Play Festival
Monday – Thursday, August 3 – 6 | 7pm
$15
“Get into Our Shorts!” is a festival of non-traditional short plays written by Philadelphia playwrights. Each work in this series breaks theatrical mold, whether it’s through unique use of language, absurd double casting, or stranger-than-fiction plot twists. Join us for a four-evening showcase of the city’s best playwrights, actors, and directors on the Painted Bride stage. “Get into Our Shorts!” is presented by Painted Bride Art Center and the Philadelphia Dramatist Center.
Schedule:

Painted Bride Art Center brings together artists, audiences and communities to push the boundaries of how we create and experience art. We cultivate an environment for critical dialog and playful exchange to transform lives and communities.
The PDC (Philadelphia Dramatists Center) is a community of playwrights, collaborating artists and audience members dedicated to creating and nurturing new work. We develop resources, stimulate creative partnerships and participate in the ongoing national dialogue about how and why theater is created. We offer many different programs within the PDC as well as with collaborators within the Philadelphia area theater community. To learn more about the PDC, please visit www.pdc1.org.
