Mehgan Abdel-Moneim
Heard That!, created by Mehgan Abdel-Moneim, is an all-ages, expansive call-and-response using street performance, dance, and collected stories from the Dickinson Narrows neighborhood. Heard That! is part of the second phase of Power to the Prompt, a conversation initiative started by the Painted Bride Art Center where artists are invited to create projects based around stories collected throughout Philadelphia. Premiering on September 25th in public spaces in South Philly, Heard That! is about listening to our neighbors and amplifying the perspectives we might be missing.
