Sunday Jazz Series
Sunday, October 13th | 2pm – 5pm
Fresh Cut Ensemble with Orrin Evans, piano
$10 admission, $7.50 members, $5 children under twelve

Local Eats by Farm Truck

In the creative spirit of last season’s Fresh Cut from the Vine concert featuring new works from promising emerging local jazz composers, we present Homegrown Gatherings: Sunday Jazz Series– an afternoon of improvised creative expression in a casual setting.  Special guest for October is Orrin Evans.

Audiences of all ages from community are welcomed to enjoy a full afternoon of music,  food provided by a local food truck Farm Truck, drink, fellowship, and fun. We will also have a crafts area for children.

Between sets there will be a special screening and performance of Jenny Lee Maas’ “Procession at Dawn.”

The Philadelphia Jazz Project is participating in Design Philadelphia by celebrating the history of Jazz in Philadelphia through a temporary Art Installation around the Reservoir earlier in the day. Share your stories and opinions about the history of Jazz in Philadelphia. There will be a Trolley Car transporting from the Bride at 11:45am to the Reservoir and returning  at 2pm for our Homegrown Gatherings: Sunday Jazz Series.
