Johnson to bring some of that horror-joy back? Well then, Spirits of the Night, gather near–for the witching month draws nigh! Every Tuesday night in October, surrender to your inner campy, schlocky, blood-curdling, creepy-crawly, B-horror fan and join Phoebe and Emily for a spine-tingling, hair-raising, mixed media radio horror play your cold, dead, heart will never recover from*. Spots are free and extremely limited, so we must ask that you secure your tickets ahead of time through the Painted Bride Box Office or suffer the terrifying consequences…

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Phoebe Schaub: Co-creator, Lead Artist
Phoebe Schaub is a lifelong Halloween Enthusiast, director, performer/creator, musician, art doula, and teaching artist. She is a co-founder and former company member of Found Theater Company, a producer and curator of the Knight Foundation-funded Secret Show Series at Painted Bride Art Center, and a graduate of Temple University’s undergraduate directing program. She is committed to making art that exists outside the boundaries of traditional narrative and strives to make work that is multi-faceted, forward-moving, and empathic.
Emily R. Johnson: Co-creator
Emily R. Johnson is a local installation artist, theatre performer/creator, and preschool teacher. She is the creator/curator of the experiential installation art series “Yours and Everyone’s,” a former company member of Found Theater Company, a graduate of Temple University’s undergraduate acting program, and a full-time Reggio Emilia inspired preschool teacher. Her work centers around the creation of patient, candid, and immersive environments that both settle and empower.
