Part of PAPAYA at the Bride International Family Series
Meet Titus. He’s a 10 year-old boy on the edge – literally on the roof of his school – confronted by a problem that seems unsolvable. He thinks that life is boring. He can choose to take flight or meet his problems head on. Don’t miss this compelling story about telling big lies and small truths. About pigs that fall in love. About crows that talk. About running away and finding yourself. Titus has plenty of stories to tell. Overwhelmed by the world, Titus shares the anxieties of childhood without ever being didactic. Gavin Jon Wright plays this poetic translation beautifully. His performance is full of humor, energy and precision.
“A fantastic live experience, this play is an inspiration and should go straight on tour to convince everyone, not just children, just how brilliant theatre can be.” – Three Weeks Edinburgh.
This English version of Titus, written by Oliver Emanuel and directed by Lu Kemp, was part of the Imaginate Festival in 2012 and the Made in Scotland showcase and British Council showcase 2013 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
