Award-winning dancer and choreographer, Raphael Xavier, deconstructs the art forms of break dance and spoken word with technical precision and poetic flare in this group ensemble performance. Street dance choreography is set to a conversational monologue that blends spoken word, poetry, and rap lyrics written over the course of 20 years. Xavier takes hip-hop techniques from the street to the stage and tells the autobiographical story of an artistic journey defined by sacrifice, passion, and transcendence.

Xavier is joined on stage by dancers Cameron Beckham and Jerry Valme and poet Leigh-Mrlei-Nelson. Featuring original music by Xavier.
