Free adult theatre course from Power Street Theatre

Power Street is excited to offer our free Land and Body course this spring! They will give adults a chance to escape the routine of life and return to imagination and play!

These free theater classes will take place at the Bride (5212 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19139). “A Timeline of Community” will be led by teaching artist Sabriaya Shipley!

Delving into significant moments of injustice, resilience, triumph, and intersectionality within communities of color, Sabriaya Shipley invites storytellers, poets, musicians, and more to explore the ways collaborative creative expression can be used to tell the stories of our past, enact change in our present, and build towards the reparations of justice in our future. Students will engage in the creation of a culminating collective timeline brought to life with theater, poetry, digital media art, and movement.

Sign up for a chance to gain confidence, collaborate with neighbors, and share your voice.
No experience is necessary – just come to each class ready to try new things!

Class is limited to ten (10) students!
Register by Friday, March 3rd
