(position filled) JOB POSTING: Communications & Partnerships Manager

The Painted Bride Art Center is seeking a Communications & Partnerships Manager who will work closely with the Executive Director and Program Manager to help deepen our audience engagement and partnerships. Responsibilities include creating press and marketing materials for the Bride’s visions and projects, building relationships with the Bride’s community partners, and working with the Program Committee to aid in the development of new programming.

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who has excitement and curiosity around new models for art experiences, a willingness to think outside the box, experience in collaborating with communities in and outside of the arts, as well as cultural competency and a working knowledge of anti-oppressive practices. Detailed Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing and communications plans for individual projects with the goal of deepening audience engagement, with the input and support of the Program Manager and the Programming Committee, composed of local artists and select Board members; including executing our brand and style guide (to be developed by an external consultant), generating and refining relevant content, managing all project-related media and press relations, and project managing marketing execution with our external consultant, who manages our social media and website
  • Co-facilitate Programming Committee Meetings (along with the Program Manager and Artist Coordinator)
  • Work in collaboration with the Executive Director and Program Manager to set our path forward while continuing to center our vision and mission
  • Develop and execute strategies for expanding our networks of community partners, building ongoing meaningful connections
  • Develop and execute strategies for reaching more Philly artists, with the input and support of the Program Manager
  • Co-facilitate Programming Committee Meetings with the Program Manager
  • Undertake key directives such as seasonal marketing campaigns and institutional priorities, including live social media coverage at institutional events when needed
  • Support the Program Manager in event execution
  • Support the Executive Director in institutional and individual fundraising, particularly around messaging
  • Coach Bride staff, board, programming committee members, and other relevant volunteers in “speaking in one voice,” clearly articulating the values and vision of the Bride
  • Evaluate impact through determining and analyzing marketing metrics; prepare and present monthly reports on communications, marketing, and partnerships for the Executive Director and Board
  • Manage corporate sponsorships, including developing sponsorship package and outreach strategy, leaving outreach, and managing relationships and sponsorship deliverables

 

Must Have

  • 2+ years of communications experience in the arts and/or community-centered work, including a familiarity with digital marketing, community engagement, and best practices for community-centered projects
  • Comfort with a collaborative, emergent work environment that values deep engagement of and direction from artists and communities over urgency, perfection, or one right way
  • Excitement and curiosity around new models for arts experiences and a willingness to think outside the box
  • Ability to set, analyze, and report on marketing metrics, including social media
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple timelines
  • Cultural competency and a working knowledge of anti-oppressive practices

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with visual design and relevant software
