Alex Shaw is a Philadelphia-based percussionist, composer, sound artist, cultural producer, and educator. Working across intercultural and interdisciplinary traditions, his practice brings together percussion, voice, field recordings, and digital media to create immersive sonic experiences. A longtime collaborator with artists and organizations across Philadelphia and beyond, Shaw contributes sound design and composition to Brownbody’s Infinite Slow Drive / Obsidians in the Wild.
