Ash Phillips

Ash Phillips is a Black, queer, singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia by way of Reading, PA. They have worked as a teaching artist in different capacities, and enjoy both the study and sharing of Black folk and roots music traditions. Ash has performed in living rooms, night clubs, festival stages, conferences, marches, and community events from NY to Cali, and has collaborated with so many amazing artists inside an ever-growing community of beautiful creators. Ash’s sound draws from their love of 70’s soul and funk, and the rich storytelling of folk and blues tradition.
