Brownbody is a Twin Cities-based all-Black dance company founded by choreographer and former competitive figure skater Deneane Richburg. Blending dance, theater, social justice practice, and skating culture, the company creates interdisciplinary works rooted in ritual, movement, memory, and collective presence. Through performances, workshops, films, and public activations, Brownbody invites audiences to engage as active participants while reimagining the ice and the stage as spaces for cultural affirmation, transformation, and connection.
