DeJeonge Reese is a visual artist and educator from Yeadon, Pennsylvania. She holds degrees from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania and Moore College of Art and Design. Reese works in mixed media, textile and fiber art, and performance. Her practice explores the cultural, spiritual, and social narratives present in Black hair and Black identity.

Drawing from her natural hair journey, ancestral research, and historical study, she views hair as a living archive that carries memory, resilience, and creative innovation. Through material experimentation and storytelling, Reese bridges past and present while challenging dominant perceptions. Her work has been exhibited throughout Philadelphia and New York, including at the Philadelphia International Airport. She is a 2023 recipient of the Mural Arts Philadelphia Black Artist Fellowship and has participated in several artist residencies.
