When was the last time you unexpectedly met a new collaborator, perhaps while waiting in line at a coffee shop, while attending an exhibition or performance or through a mutual friend? The pandemic lifestyle has robbed us of these serendipitous meetings. Sign up for the Painted Bride’s (virtual) Chance Encounters Project for the opportunity to make a surprising connection with another creative thinker.

Each Chance Encounters virtual session will open with a short artistic presentation, after which you will be randomly matched with another participant for a 45-minute meet-up in a breakout room. You’ll be given some guided questions prior to the session to help you and your partner get to know each other. Perhaps your conversation will uncover shared interests that might lead to you and your partner deciding to continue talking after the session.

If your Chance Encounter sparks an idea for a creative project, you and your partner can submit your idea to the Bride for consideration for further development support!

Our first Chance Encounters session will be Tuesday, May 4th at 6pm. If you plan to attend please register here to receive the meeting link.

Can’t make the first session but want to be invited to the next one? SIGN UP HERE FOR THE CHANCE ENCOUNTERS INTEREST LIST.
