Rooted in memory, storytelling, embodiment, and collective care, the project invites Black female-identifying Philadelphians into a communal process exploring Black girlhood, adulthood, ritual, and lived experience.

Blending movement, installation, testimony, and participatory exchange, The Becoming centers reflection, visibility, and shared cultural memory through a living performance environment shaped by audience presence and collective storytelling.
