Quarantine Movement Practice
This post was written by Caitlin Green, part of the 2020 Cohort of the Painted Bride’s Building Bridges: On the Rise project.
My personal movement practice is essential in moderating my mood, boosting energy, inspiring motivation for creative process.. and sometimes just to get through the day. I find this especially true during Corona Quarantine – being stuck inside, irritable, in isolation, and pregnant! While most days I take to improvising or learning/creating choreography as a way to get the blood pumping and endorphins flowing, some days my body needs more of a stretch or even to indulge in mindful and intentional stillness, centering breath. These clips are examples of some of my more active and energizing methods of movement.
