Dear Friends,

After 33 extraordinary years with the Painted Bride Art Center, I announce my retirement—effective December 31, 2025—with immense gratitude and heartfelt reflection. This decision comes after deep consideration and a profound appreciation for the remarkable journey I’ve been privileged to share with so many talented and passionate individuals.

My deepest thanks go out to the incredible staff, dedicated volunteers, visionary board members, extraordinary artists, loyal patrons, and generous donors and funders who have walked this path with me. Your imagination, commitment, and enthusiasm have been the foundation of our success and a constant source of inspiration. The friendships and memories I’ve made here are treasures I will carry with me always.

As I step into this next chapter, I do so with confidence and hope for the Painted Bride’s bright future. The passion and vision that fuel this organization assure me of its continued growth and enduring legacy of supporting artists and the community. It has been the greatest honor of my life to contribute to this mission. With care and foresight, the Board of Directors has been actively guiding this transition and is now launching a national search for the next Executive Director.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of something so extraordinary. I am profoundly grateful for every moment—and for every person—who has walked alongside me throughout this incredible journey.

Warm regards,
Laurel
