Following the unveiling of jazz legend Lee Morgan’s historical marker at 52nd and Chancellor Streets, join us for an afternoon of celebration and remembrance.
As part of Painted Bride’s Voices of 52nd Street – Then and Now project, we will share memories of Lee Morgan, the Aqua Lounge, and 52nd Street, aka “the Strip.” Faye Anderson of All That Philly Jazz, Dr. Diane Turner of the Charles L. Blockson Collection, and members of the Lee Morgan family will also share remarks.
There will be music and light refreshments.
