Our statement:

In a time of erasure, surveillance, and false freedoms, Proof of Life is an offering, an assertion, and a refusal to disappear.

In this, the inaugural season of Painted Bride Project Space, we call forth the artists, storytellers, and cultural workers who defy statistics and survive the archive.

Through movement, sound, image, and word, we gather our receipts, honor our collective joy & grief, and give the power back to the people.

We are here. We’ve been here. And together, we will remain.

In all of our complexities, identities, textures and shapes, our impact is driven by our imagination to build new worlds that leave no one behind.

This is our proof of life.
