Tree Lab, across the street from iMPeRFeCT Gallery (5539 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144)

A sweaty, gay, disco ritual performed by six dancers and experienced inside a large tent-like structure, occurring outside and holding intentional space for shared, radical embodiment. (60 min)

Part of Blood Baby, a queer and trans exploration of lineage, family, and how we are each individually formed from artist Meg Foley and the Painted Bride.

Performance notes:

  • The 6/15 3pm show will be mandatory masking. Masks will be available at the door.
  • Content advisory: Loud sounds, partial nudity, and sexually suggestive material.

ACCESSIBILITY: Carpet Womb takes place outside at the Tree Lab across from iMPeRFeCT Gallery. The Tree Lab is unpaved with a mulched path surrounded by grassy areas with trees. The ground is at times uneven. The performance contains loud music; ear plugs will be available. Seating is on the ground, on pillows or more back supported options, or in available chairs. Bathrooms are located inside iMPeRFeCT Gallery and require crossing Germantown Avenue to access. Bathrooms are single stall and gender neutral but not wheelchair accessible. There are roadcuts and a stoplight at the crosswalk of Germantown Avenue and School House Lane to cross the street. There is one small step to get inside iMPeRFeCT Gallery.
