Closing Event (Gathering to Thrive)

Gathering to Thrive @ the Alain Locke School will include programs designed for the sharing, exploration, and discovery of new pathways to holistic health and wellbeing for Black and Brown communities/families in West Philly.

This is the final of four public event offerings, it will feature a performance and town hall facilitated by Nikki Powerhouse, a local performer and poet, followed by movement and Reiki workshops. Folks of all ages welcome, Black and Brown folks centered.

Part of Gathering to Thrive: A West Philly Radical Wellness Exchange, presented by the Painted Bride and made possible by the West Philadelphia Community Fund.

Event Schedule

• 4pm – 4:15pm: DJ opens, event begins
• 4:15pm – 5:00pm: Nikki Powerhouse performance and townhall
• 5:15pm – 5:45pm: Split into two groups: Reiki workshop lead by Maleata Ragin, and Movement workshop
• 5:45pm- 6pm: Closing
