Join us for a complimentary screening of Tracing Sacred Steps, the Cinematic Experience, a film directed by Deneane Richburg and Aidan Un. The film centers on Brownbody’s “ring shout,” a performance blending dance, theater, figure skating, and a professional cast of Black skating artists. View the film trailer here.

The screening will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Brownbody’s Undoing Racism, Healing, and Organizational Consultant, Sandra Richardson, with the Choreographer, Deneane Richburg, Brownbody Associate Artistic Director, Lela Aisha Jones, composer and sound designer Alex Shaw, and several artists featured in the work.

The work was filmed by Aidan Un, choreographed by Deneane Richburg, with original musical composition by Alex Shaw and artistic advisement, choreographic guidance, and dramaturgy by Lela Aisha Jones.
